And you will go to Mykonos.

I went to Mykonos about 4 weeks ago now (where does the time go?!) and whilst I definitely didn't take advantage of the beautiful scenery for blog shots (I was too busy taking it all in with my actual eyes...), I did squeeze in a couple of shots that I thought I would share.

Dress - Asos
Headband - River Island (similar here)
Sunglasses - Primark

This dress was a bit of a life saver in the Greek heat, really lightweight and breathable, not to mention the fact it perfectly conceals the  unavoidable food babies that come with over indulging in Souvlakis and ice cream. Am now salivating as I type...

Also, for anyone that may be considering going to Mykonos - DO IT. Seriously beautiful, with fantastic beaches, and great bars and restaurants. Although take plenty of dollar, all that Mykonian goodness don't come cheap.

Yia!! (as they say in Greece)

Gimme, Gimme, Gimme... Beachwear!

So in exactly 7 weeks today I am off to Las Vegas babbbyyyyyyy!!! And what does an upcoming holiday in Las Vegas mean? New clothes, obviously. I have been reliably informed that my standard (somewhat slovenly) pool look - hair piled on head, flip flops, some form of non-descript throw on - will just not cut it in Vegas, so I have been on the hunt for some bright, vaguely glamorous beach wear. Here are some of my favourite finds...

Headband - River Island   Cocoon dress - River Island   Kimono - Forever 21
Sunglasses - Asos   Heels - My 1st Wish   Head chain - Miss Selfridge
Kaftan - Matalan   Striped bikini - Cos   Tropical print bikini - River Island

I always think River Island is great for affordable and colourful, statement beachwear, and with this weeks Grazia including a 25% off at River Island it would be rude not to pick up a few pieces, don't you agree?

I also want to give a shoutout to a new discovery of mine (I'm probably completely late to the party), a website called My 1st Wish. OH THE SHOES!!! I feel like I have been transported to clodhopper heaven.

Anyway, enough for now. I have got a couple of outfit posts from my rather lovely holiday in Mykonos to share with you over the next week or 2, and I am going to apologise now (although I'm not really sorry) for the amount of Las Vegas references/ blog posts/ general jibber jabber that may appear on this blog over the next 7 weeks.

Have a good weekend :)

Picnic Play.

Good ol' British weather. There I was all ready for some picnic fun times (and dressed like a picnic blanket, obvs) when the grey clouds came rollin' in and the winds started swirling. Fair to say my pasty pins weren't a fan on the turn in weather and a new attire was in order shortly after I captured these snaps.

Duster coat - Topshop (no longer available online)
Bag - 3.1 Phillip Lim

Dress - Urban Outfitters
Loafers - Russell and Bromley

Now can we please take a moment for the bag (one photo is enough for the moment, expect to see it ALOT). After lusting after it for a good year or so, on a trip to New York in February I decided to finally bite the bullet and part with an eye watering amount of money in order to own the bag of my materialistic dreams. In my mind I could (just about) justify the purchase by reminding myself that black and white are classic, sure to never go out of fashion. It doesn't have any strange seasonal hardware like tassels, studs or spikes that are sure to go out of fashion by the time you've given the item one airing. So yes, it is super simple. Yes, you could probably buy a very similar one in somewhere like Zara, but I don't care because I love it.

Gimme, Gimme, Gimme...#7

So, as was my last Gimme... post dictated by, I am off on holiday in about 5 weeks time and therefore essential holiday prep obviously includes scouring the internet for some suitable garbs. Now seeing as  I have spent the last year in what my wardrobe would reflect as a perpetual state of mourning, jetting off to a beautiful, whitewashed Greek island is the perfect excuse to embrace some colour and pattern into my wardrobe I say...

Embellished white suit - Topshop   Folk print crop top Topshop   White sandals New Look
Passport holder - Kurt Geiger   Necklace - Topshop   Beach bag - Wildfox
Printed dress - Zara   Bangle - Topshop   Clutch bag - Asos
Black sandals - Zara   Tapestry dress - Topshop   Swimsuit - River Island

So I appear to go from one extreme to another with colour because I NEED THAT TAPESTRY DRESS. And that swimming costume. And the white suit...

Hello old friends...

So it has been just over a year (393 days to be precise), since I last posted on here. I would like to say that I have been pre-occupied with travelling to far flung corners of the globe, riding elephants, hanging out in the Brazilian rainforest, climbing Everest, places in general that would not be conducive to blogging. However, (and unsurprisingly) that is not the case, and to be honest I really do not have any valid or interesting excuse so let's just ignore my absence and start as we mean to go on...

Excuse Me.

I am seriously slacking with these outfit posts! I have had these photos sitting on my camera for a good month now with no reasonable excuse as to why I haven't posted them, so alas the time has finally come.

Shirt dress - H&M
Bag - Mulberry
Brogues - Primark
Watch - vintage Omega

I did feel slightly like a waiter wearing this as a dress ( I did have a black slip on underneath to ensure my modesty was retained), but ultimately I like the simplicity of the look and it's ease of wearing.
On a side note - WHY IS IT STILL SO COLD?!!?!? I have so many spring/summer things I am dying to wear *sob*

Gimme, Gimme, Gimme...#6 Holiday special

I am jetting off on holiday next month to Cuba, so as an homage to the impending sunshine I thought it only appropriate to compile a little wishlist of items that I would love to be part of my holiday wardrobe (although I may have already bought a couple of the things, whoops!)
Cutout bikini - River Island   Yellow cape sleeve dress - Zara   Necklace - Chelsea Doll   Denim dress - H&M
White wrap skirt - River Island   Black flatforms - River Island
White clutch - & Other Stories   Floral shirt dress - Topshop
Khaki maxi dress - Miss Selfridge   Sandals - Topshop

I had a River Island voucher left over from Christmas so I picked up the tomato red bikini and the white wrap skirt, although I have had my eye on these flatforms for a good while now but I just can't justify (at the moment) ANOTHER pair of black shoes. I love the skirt, and think it is perfect date night attire so hopefully it will get an outing soon, although it is snowing as a write this...

I think I will definitely purchase the snakeskin sandals from Topshop as I can see myself getting so much wear out of them over the summer, and I do love the floral shirt dress although I think it may be touching upon being indecently short.

Have you checked out & Other Stories yet? It's a new brand within the H&M family, and it has got some really beautiful items; clean lines and simplistic styles that you can see wearing endlessly. Plus, the white clutch is similar to the gorgeous Acne one but a quarter of the price, although I wouldn't exactly call it a 'snip' at £55!
